SB 678 -- QUARTERLY TAX COLLECTIONS REPORT FOR TEMPORARY TAXES SPONSOR: Gross (Smith, 14) COMMITTEE ACTION: Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on Ways and Means by a vote of 13 to 0. This bill repeals obsolete provisions of law which require the Director of the Department of Revenue to make quarterly tax collections reports for temporary taxes that have sunset and are no longer collected. FISCAL NOTE: No impact on state funds in FY 2007, FY 2008, and FY 2009. PROPONENTS: Supporters say that the bill is needed to repeal obsolete provisions which call for the Department of Revenue to make a report on taxes that have not existed since December 1991.
